Karyne (00:00:00) – Hi Fantasy readers. This is Karyne Norton, your fellow book binger, and you are listening to the Finding Fantasy Reads podcast, where you can test out a new fantasy story every single week to find your next favorite author.

Thanks so much for checking out my brand new podcast. To get things started, I’m sharing three full episodes with stories from three of my favorite authors. This first one is written by JA Andrews, and it’s filled with the friendships and hope you can expect with all of her stories.

Janice lives deep in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, and she’s constantly jealous of her future self, who she is sure has everything figured out. She also wishes that Jane Austin had lived 200 years later, so they could be pen pals, and if you sign up for Janice’s emails, you’ll eventually catch one of her fancy stick figure drawings with scenes from Pride and Prejudice, so it’s worth it to sign up just for those.

I’ll be narrating the story for today, so stick around to the end or check out today’s show notes to see where you can get more of Janice’s stories, as well as information about a really fun giveaway we have going this month. In the meantime, please enjoy the Black Horn by JA Andrews.

Featured Author

JA Andrews lives deep in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with her husband and three children. She is eternally grateful to CS Lewis for showing her the luminous world of Narnia. She wishes Jane Austen had lived 200 years later so they could be pen pals. She is furious at JK Rowling for introducing her to house elves, then not providing her a way to actually employ one. And she is constantly jealous of her future-self who, she is sure, has everything figured out.

Narrator

Karyne Norton hasn’t found the key to time travel, immortality, or infinite lives, so she’s taking a break from nursing and photography to focus on raising four human beings while writing epic fantasy
