Karyne (00:00:07) – Hi fantasy readers. This is Karyne Norton, your fellow book binger, and you are listening to the Finding Fantasy Reads podcast where you can test out a new fantasy story every single week to find your next favorite author.

You’ll want to stick around for today’s story if you like dragons and bittersweet stories. I’m not sure why I’m often drawn to the bittersweet ones. I think when everything is too happy, it doesn’t feel real enough to me. So I like my happily ever after, but I like there to be some lingering sadness. And maybe it’s because remembering it helps me not to take the happiness for granted.

Regardless of the why, today’s author nailed it. Sean Fletcher is the Amazon best selling author of a number of YA fantasy series, including Heir of Dragons, Legacy of Dragons, Paranormal Outcasts, Mage’s Apprentice, The Darkness Within, and most recently, the Savage Wilds series, in addition to forthcoming books whose characters will not give him a moment’s peace until they get their turn in the spotlight. When not making things up and putting them on paper, he can be found hiking, biking, or traveling, sometimes all at the same time where he lives in Texas.

I’ll be narrating today’s story. Be sure to stick around to the end or check out today’s show notes to see where you can find more from the author. For now, please enjoy The Girl Who Was Raised by a Dragon by Sean Fletcher.
